I recommend the (dot)Hack//Legend of the Twillight manga series, just finished the 3 volume run of the first part and am hunting down the others as we speak.

I've heard .hack// is extremely pointless, the plot doesn't move much or something. Havn't heard much abotu the Manga though, I'll have to check it out. =)

This one follows the story line of the game rather than the show, granted that fact alone might give one pause considering the game's story spanned four separate games.

I recommend One Piece, it gets such a bad rap because of the 4kids Dub, but the Sub version is beyond great.

I had to give it atleast 100 episodes before I was a huge fan. The story is quite epic. It's kind of odd to think it's only half done, theres gonna be something like 100 Manga Volumes and 600 episodes it seems.

I recommend Kanon 2006. It is said to be better than the original. I never watched the original, but I did find this one to be quite good.
It is a story about a boy who returns to a town to live with his aunt and cousin. He used to come there and play long ago, but he has not been back in many years, and his memory of his time spent there before is almost nonexistent. Slowly over his time spent there he learns more about his past and more about himself through the events and friends he makes.
Another selection I would point out would be School Rumble.
A comedy about the lives of a class of high schoolers, complete with hilarious situations, great dialog and a love polygon. The characters are lovable, the music is good, and the comedy is great. Check it out.

I havn't seen Kanon or the remake, perhaps I'll check it out.
School Rumble is hilarious. I started watching it thinking I'd hate it cause of how cliche and ugly the art was, then I relized I was laughing through the episodes. XD
