So I saw teh Spideymanzes. In this episode he decided to go through the exact same trauama he allways goes through. I'm a good nice great guy...oh wait...I'm a bastard. I need to go through a path of redemption.
However this time it had different badguys. GASP! Except that Hobgoblin was more or less a Ninja version of Green Goblin.
Sandman was handled well, I have no idea why they had to tie his plot to the first movie. that was cheesy and wrapped up exactly how you knew it would. Very predictable. I think the charecter itself was very true to the original though.
So at the casting stage in the film I'm pretty sure they sat at a large table. Happy with their descision to make Hob Goblin a ninja. Then though "What about venom". There was silence in the room. "Well what do we know about him? Maybe we can start there". They stared around the room with blank expressions. "Allright, so he's big, insanely fit, military training...and big...and really really strong...and well...really fit." Then it comes to them. They relize who they must cast! THE PERFECT MAN FOR THE JOB!
"Topher Grace" they all said it in unison. "Ofcoarse! He's big, and strong. Just like he was in That 70's show. The epitome of large and scary."
So they ninja and spiderman fought, then spiderman turned emo, then he did a jazz number for no reason. Then the sandman got angry, then Venom watched Hunchback of Notre Dame, then Sandman and Venom fought the Ninja and Spiderman.
That's pretty much the movie in a nutshell. Now that I'm done complainaing, it was actualy an allright movie. I enjoyed it. It was just so removed from the comic while still trying to latch on to the comics with some false string of marketing. =P
Did anyone else see it?
