This one's still in the making. The much-anticipated sequel to TES III: Morrowind will feature graphics with a bigger thingy, better AI, and hopefully an improved interface for the TES Construction Set. Have you ever tried mapping in TESCS? It's hell. It's hell. There are screenshots and some other goodies (like an explanation of the 'Radiant AI' that will be featured) located at www.elderscrolls.com/games/oblivion_overview.htm . d**n that's an ugly Minotaur.

Yeah I've heard about this for awhile, my only concern is will they keep the multiple race and customisable classes and such from Morrowind. I mean come on who wants to play some girl thingy looking knight it you can be a dark elf or... ORC, RAWR! *Cough* Sorry, chronic habit.

They'll have all of the races of Morrowind. As for classes, I don't know. I hope they let you make custom classes still... I rather like 'Dark Knight'.

Archery was useless in Morrowind. No matter though, because archery is GAY and LAME and ALL THAT.

Why does my nick seem to be randomly thrown into threads I'm not even part of... Hands everyone a good ol' cup of shut the f**k up. Simple, you and your "nick" because of you has become synonymous for stupidity, a waste of space, and general sense f*getry that makes Parafox look like Heftner. Eskimo as Ave once said in homage to one of the greatest flash series of all time, you are a f**kING... MORON, thank you, thank you. Anyway back on topic, Kaleb is right however in Morrowind archery was useless, much like Fable, its there but why bother when you kill it faster and easier with a big sword or uber spell. The idea of the Uruk Ranger is to have plenty of dex and agi while keeping a modest level of muscle and magicka (was that what it was called?) for other situations.

Archery for Oblivion will be improved they say. No more thrown weapons or crossbows, but the plusses for Bows more then make up for it. You'll now have a quiver and get to see the arrows in the quiver...erm...yeah ect. -_-
All the numbered Elder Scroll games have allowed for race selection and all have had custom classes you can make. Morrowind actually had the most dumb-downed version of the custom class of the games. Hopefully Oblivion will bring back Daggerfall's uber-giga-detailed customization.

Archery was useless in Morrowind. No matter though, because archery is GAY and LAME and ALL THAT. I'm sorry, i don't see it that way. In any Roleplaying game that i play i use a bow. No one has any thoughts about it since it came out...? the graphics are really awesome, though much better on 360. The gameplay is something that took me awhile to get used to, i liked the Dark Elves of Morrowind much better, but i suppose that is where they came from. I also liked how everyone hated you in Morrowind, and like if you went to one or more of the Plantations everyone would like you around 30. But Oblivion isn't bad, i like how you start out as a prisoner like in Morrowind, and i like that Dark Elf that talks smack to you. haha.. Actually being able to be in prison was a nice change. And some of the quests are very intriguing. -woe

I forgot about this thread.
I've had a chance to play Oblivion and my only two problems with it are that everyone is ugly and the voice acting is so incredibly unbelievable it's painful to listen to. It makes me want to record voices for everyone. The only voice that's good belongs to the Bosmeri ticket master at the arena. That's not true. Actually, the Redguard voices are pretty good. I can listen to the Imperials...but that's it. -_-
I have to agree with Kaleb that archery was useless in Morrowind. At point blank range you missed most of the time, unless you poured hours (or lots of gold) into improving it. Archery in Oblivion is WAY better. It's my favourite kind of combat, actually - mixed with magic. I also very much enjoy melee combat, but shooting a charging guard in the face at point blank range and watching him fly backward limply and hit a wall, dead, is one of the greatest feelings in a game ever.
The quests are interesting, but I have a problem with the rewards system. It seems you can only get the truly good quest rewards if you are a very high level, and the level of the quest is determined by your own level. Frankly, I'd rather have high-level quests that you *have* to wait to do.
All in all, it's well done. It suffers a lack of playability unless you get the BTMod, which improves on the GUI and works out the biggest, glaring weakness in the game.

Everyone is ugly haha.. The only people that can be slightly attractive are the female Breton. {I never play guy characters} Now for the voices.. They are very retarded sounding, and... rofl.. I believe after completing the Thieves Guild quests, i went into the Imperial City Prison, the left hand side.. {I think} And there was a woman in one of the cells, a dark elf maybe {maybe not}. And one of her rumors was something like "Can you believe it? Thieves broke into the ___, ____, and ____, all in the same night! no, wait let me try that one again. Can you believe it? Thieves broke into the ____, ____, and ____, all in the same night!" It was so hilarious, i was laughing all night. The way characters fall when they die is so realistic, though i have to admit i'll miss their stiff bodies laying three feet above the ground after killing them on the stairs.. god i miss Morrowind... haha.. I also noticed that there are more terrifying creatures walking around when you're a higher level. Try running into an Ogre {is that what they are?} when your level one.. My favourite quest would have to be the painting or the dreamworld, the dreamworld was quite awesomely frightening. The stealing system can get annoying at first but you get used to it.. I can just sell it to a fence. {Is that what they were?} And also i absolutely hate becoming the leader of everything i join. Mages guild, Thieves guild, The Black Hand/Dark Brotherhood. Its annoying, i thought there was no way that i would become the leader of the Fighters Guild, Geez i was pd off when she handed me leadership.. -woe
