To anyone who hasn't played this game yet: you should... Why? Well, just because it's frickin' awsome! Again, why? Well, let me sum up some of the great features I have already seen in my (about) 30 minutes of play: - Kratos (anti hero)
- Big ass enemies
- also lot's of small(er) enemies
- good graphics
- great controls
- nice atmosphere
- nice big blades attached to chains to swing around (Kratos' weapons)
- badass combo's to literally tear your enemies apart
- blood 'n gore
- every enemie has it's own unique way to be destroyed with a unique, sometimes pretty difficult, combo
- even big enemies (except for bosses) never come alone
- fast paces action
- actually the first modern console game I've enjoyed player since years... As you should know, I'm mostly PC only... Frankly, most console games suck imho.
Aw heck, just check out that game, you'll find a review on gamespot for sure and probably on some other sites too. regards, DooM

Destroy all Humans was fun for a while but it takes about two days to beat:p Still it makes for a great rent.

He got it together with his second-hand PS2 and that game is actually good fun to just fool around with, don't persue objectives, just destroy everything and battle local authorities, basicly the same as most people do with GTA

There were missions with GTA? Just kidding:p Anywho, know what you mean, there's something cool about blowing someones brain out from their ass. My friend let me play Shadow of the Collosus(still can't remember how to spell that d**nable word:p) Played it for about an hour and a half fought to the fourth boss or something. Really fun game is all I have to say about it.

Never heard of it, but it sounds interesting Know Tempest? I have it on the way for my Jaguar It has no story, just lots of enemy blasting action with funky graphics Extremely simple gameplay which is very addictive and can drive you nuts

Hrm Tempest? Sounds familiar I must say can't recall where I heard it before*thinker pose*
A shadow of the Colossus is quite unique I must say. There aren't any smaller enemies. You ride around on a horse tracking down bosses with light shinning from your sword when you raise it on high. When you find them you have to try and puzzle out how to climb up to their head whereby you can precede to stab/kill them. Most fun I've had with an adventure game since Ocarina of Time.

Ocarina of time is a Zelda game right? I'm not big into Zelda... Shadow of the Collusus appears to be an interesting game though, it's just that I don't have a PS2 and I'm not planning on getting one in the near future, maybe when they go on extreme sale or something that stores just have to lose them and throw them out for rediculously low prices

I tried the demo for this game the other day not expecting much (I don't really follow up on what is hip on the ps2) but was surprised by how fun the combat is. They are so many cool moves you can do with those blades with chains things.

One of my cousins has God of War, and let me play it. It's an excellent mix of RPG and action. A perfect replacement for the Belmonts. Sorry, Simon.
The combat feels natural - it isn't a chore to execute combos, and the partially automated aiming is really nice. That you CAN change directions mid-attack is awesome beyond words. Little things like that make combat feel like combat. Not only does it feel like combat, it LOOKS like combat. Everything Kratos does and everything his enemies do looks correct. Some of the special endings for various creatures are simply amazing, and the puzzles thrown into the mix (not always when you're alone in a dungeon, and not always 'Get this, put it here') make this a killer adventure.
I played the game for 4 hours and got halfway through, according to Tony (the cousin I mentioned). The Chaos Blades (bigass knives on a chain) aren't the only weapons in the game - you can also get a huge sword that's slower and way more powerful. When you do, you'll find your combat style naturally shifting. It's no longer "keep enemies away and hit them from afar". It's "find an opening and take it". Then when you switch back to your Chaos Blades, you'll find that that stays with you. This is a game that you can suck at, or a game that you can rock at, and you can be anywhere between. You CAN mash buttons on easy mode, but it takes actual SKILL to be successful at this game.
I was extremely surprised by this game. I can only hope that there will be more games like this. I could rant for another 5 paragraphs at least, but I'll stop here.

No, it's PS2-only. The gameplay would be ruined on PC, even if you by chance happened to have a PC that could run it perfectly.
