I've recently gotten into this Delta Blues legend. He's cooler than you...AND your kidneys. All 8 of them. If you havn't heard of him your missing out. He's so good in his day they beleived he had sold his soul at the crossroads (yes...that movie is based on him-sorta). Only two known pictures of him in existance: and this one: Anywho, he's good stuff.

Blues! 1920's blues! This guy bassicly gave us the foot work for rock, most of the pioneers in rock listened to this guy. Eric Claptop, Rolling Stones...etc

Know any online sources where I could semi-legally (you know, the kind of Canadian legal) aquire some of this music? I am an advocate of blues and the such; however, there is some boring type blues and jazz and all that which just doesn't have the feel of music with real emotion and talent put in it. Though I am fairly certain Jest knows what's going on with music not to lead me, or the rest of the Jester Loco community, astray.
I found quite a few songs via LimeWire. Not top quality, but I am assuming that music from the 30s doesn't come in the greatest of quality these days. To list the songs I got (haven't had the chance to listen to them all, but I have a few and these are great songs.);
---about 15 minutes---
Alcohol and Jake Blues, Come On In My Kitchen, Dead Shrimp Blues, Got My Mojo Working, Hell Hound On My Trail, I Believe I'll Dust My Broom, Kind Hearted Woman Blues, Love In Vain, Me And The Devil Blues, Sweet Home Chicago, Crossroads, The Sky Is Crying, Walking Blues.
---three more minutes---
Quite a good collection to start with. I know I am going to enjoy this music. Thanks Jest.

Looks like you got a few that are mis credited there Silas. =P Or they might just have alternate titles. He only recorded 29 songs. I'll give you the list of them all: - ".32-20 Blues"
- "Come on in My Kitchen" [two versions]
- "Cross Road Blues" [two versions]
- "Dead Shrimp Blues"
- "Drunken Hearted Man" [two versions]
- "From Four Till Late"
- "Hellhound on My Trail"
- "Honeymoon Blues"
- "I'm a Steady Rollin' Man"
- "I Believe I'll Dust My Broom"
- "If I Had Possession Over Judgment Day"
- "Kind Hearted Woman Blues" [two versions]
- "Last Fair Deal Gone Down"
- "Little Queen of Spades" [two versions]
- "Love in Vain" [two versions]
- "Malted Milk"
- "Me and the Devil Blues" [two versions]
- "Milk Cow's Calf Blues" [two versions]
- "Phonograph Blues" [two versions]
- "Preachin' Blues (Up Jumped The Devil)"
- "Rambling on My Mind" [two versions]
- "Stones in My Passway"
- "Stop Breakin' Down Blues" [two versions]
- "Sweet Home Chicago"
- "Terraplane Blues"
- "They're Red Hot"
- "Traveling Riverside Blues" [two versions]
- "Walkin' Blues"
- "When You Got a Good Friend" [two versions]
I don't have them all, but I'm working on it. I suggest "Me and the Devil Blues" - "I'm a Steady Rollin' Man" and "Come on in My Kitchen". They're my favorite. =)

I see... which version of 'Come in My Kitchen'?

The versions don't vary much that I know of. I think it's to do with how they were recorded, not how they were played.

Yeah, I wouldn't be suprised if I got things with errorneous titles off of Limewire, they don't even know how to name songs by the Arctic Monkeys (where they have CD labels), let alone a man from the '20s.

I've discovered his music was recorded in the 30's. 36' and 37 actualy. he lived from May 8, 1911 to August 16, 1938.
Yea, I downloaded Suicide is Painless and it attributed it to Nick Drake. (yea the one that starts the M*A*S*H Movie and T.v Show) I also tried downloading the Silent Movie about Joan Of Arc only to find it was a porno.
